        Windows

I’ve always had a fascination with imperfection. We’re all filled with flaws and we all have problems we have to deal with, ordeals we have to go through, and things we dislike about ourselves. I suffer from Scoliosis, which comes with chronic pain, and Dysthymia. Throughout a lot of my adolescent and young adult life, I’ve found it rather easy to be hung up on my own problems and to bring myself down. I always get a wake-up call when I see what's on the other side of the fence. I know, despite my flaws, I’m a very lucky and fortunate person. Even so, that doesn’t mean I don’t suffer and have my own struggles even if they may not measure up to those of others. It’s an obvious fact that we, as humans, tend to keep things bottled up inside of us. This fact, in itself, brings light to another; that we can’t tell who is going through though the loss of a family member, through the failure of a relationship, through a mental illness, through chronic pain or through a disease. Our faces are the windows to our souls and your window is worth looking out from.
